Dr. Nix is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. He founded Southwest Nebraska Dental Center in 1981 and now has locations in McCook and Imperial.

Dr. Nix enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has accomplished himself in cosmetic restorations, surgical implant (tooth replacement) dentistry, Periodontal (gum) Laser Therapy, Oral Sedation for anxious patients, Power Bleach Tooth Whitening, Cosmetic Reconstruction, and ONE-Appointment Crowns utilizing Cad-Cam CEREC technology.

Dr. Nix is committed to providing his patients with the latest dental technology, equipment, and procedures. Dr. Nix serves as a Mentor at the prestigious Scottsdale Center For Dentistry, where he helps teach fellow dentists. Routinely taking over 100 hours of continuing education annually allows Dr. Nix to maintain the highest quaility in dental patient services. 

Dr. Nix and his wife Karen have four children, Shannon, Tiffany, TJ, and Aaron. Interests other than his family and dentistry include traveling, golf, and watching Husker football.

Dr. Kaitlin Haag is a McCook native who graduated McCook High School in 2004 and a graduate of Chadron State college with a degree in biology.  She the attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

 

Dr. Haag joined Southwest Nebraska Dental Center in 2011 as a partner and enjoys working with Dr. Nix and the entire staff.  She loves seeing patients of all ages and helping them achieve and maintain healthy teeth.  Dr. Haag strives to be at the forefront of dental techniques by taking in-depth hands on continuing education courses.

 

Dr. Haag and her husband Buck, live in rural Bartley where Buck is involved in production agriculture. She also enjoys visiting her family, music, and traveling.
