Dr. Nix is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. He founded Southwest Nebraska Dental Center in 1981 and now has locations in McCook and Imperial.

Dr. Nix enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has accomplished himself in cosmetic restorations, surgical implant (tooth replacement) dentistry, Periodontal (gum) Laser Therapy, Oral Sedation for anxious patients, Power Bleach Tooth Whitening, Cosmetic Reconstruction, and support treatment for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Dr. Nix is commited to providing his patients with the latest dental technology, equipment, and procedures. Routinely taking over 100 hours of continuing education annually allows Dr. Nix to maintain the highest quaility in dental patient services. 

Dr. Nix and his wife Karen have four children, Shannon, Tiffany, TJ, and Aaron. Interests other than his family and dentistry include traveling, golf, and watching Husker football.

Dr. Fornander graduated from Chadron State College with a Bachelor's of Science degree and the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She practiced general dentistry in Lincoln, Nebraska and in 2007 joined Southwest Nebraska Dental Center in McCook.

Dr. Fornander enjoys practicing family dentistry and working with patients of all ages.  She especially enjoys providing dental care for children.  Dr. Fornander puts patients at ease with her calm style of dentistry and keeps her patients comfortable while she restores their oral health.

Dr. Fornander and her husband, Wade, have two daughters. Their family likes going for walks, playing at the park, and watching Bison and Husker athletics.
